Sophie's 1st Birthday Party

We had a birthday party for Sophie at Grandma and Grandpa Tippett's house. It turned out perfect because we had lots of extended family in town for various reasons, and we got to visit and celebrate with all of them! My Uncle Tim and Cousin Zach were in town for the OSU/OU game. Also Uncle Greg, Aunt Shilo, Cousin Cadence and Cousin Coco were here for a holiday visit from Oregon. Plus we had lots of other family and friends come...who didn't have to come via a plane ride!

Sutton was very excited about Sophie's birthday party, and had been talking about it for quite a while!

Cousin Cadence really enjoyed the chocolate peppermint cupcake!

Sutton had been eyeing the cookie dough cake pops since I made them.
He was thrilled to finally get one!

Time to open presents.
Mema and Papa gave Sophie a special "Twas the Night Before Christmas" book with their voices recorded and reading the book. What a special keepsake!

Cadence and Sutton were great helpers opening gifts, getting more gifts to open, and picking up the trash!!! I wonder if Sophie will want so much help next year!

Aunt Amy got Sophie her first baby doll, a Cabbage Patch Kid. Oh the memories for Mommy. I LOVED my Cabbage Patch Dolls!

I think Cadence could have played with Sophie all day! She just loved "mothering" her!

That's perfect for our families! There are wiener dogs on both sides of the family!
