The invite!(removed the address and my email/phone. I didn't want it floating around any extra on the web!)
I made it with some free downloads from here, here and here
The font is a free one called "Girls are Weird" which they are NOT!!!!
I tried to take a picture of Sophie each month in the same little shoes and bow so we could see how much she grew during her first year. I missed a month or two. I put them all together in one picture, and then I framed it for the party.
I chose random pictures from her first year, made them vintage looking, and put them along the table runner for decorationBy the way, I had to sign a copyright waiver when I had all the pictures developed because the guy thought that my pictures were professional! Wow, made me feel good!
I made the table runners and chair ties out of plastic table clothes. All you have to do it cut them in the strips that you want, then pull/stretch the edges to make it look ruffled! See this link.
Aunt Amy did the balloons. She put a marble inside each one. That kept them from floating around every time there was a draft!
Sophie's party hat matched her outfit. It is a really simple pattern with the hat made from fabric and heavy interfacing. You can smash it and it goes back to it's shape perfectly!!
I made cookie dough pops and decorated them.Inspiration here and here.
(tips I learned...put the lollipop stick in them when they are soft, then freeze them. When they are frozen, dip them in the melted chocolate/candy melts. They quickly put the decorations on them. When they are frozen it allows the candy melts to set quicker. Also if your lollipop stick keeps falling out, dip the stick in a little of the melted candy melts and then put it in the cookie dough pop.)
BTW, my sister in law made these with candy canes as the sticks. Doesn't that sound YUMMY?
Also, I stuck the cookie dough pops in two pieces of round styrofoam glued together. Then I just wrapped some ribbon around it with pins to hold it in place. The ribbon covered the seam of the styrofoam/glue!
Now for the CUPCAKES!!!Yes, once again, Cara made the cupcakes. It's just NOT a party without them!
Cara had just got the Circuit machine for cakes. She made all sorts of pretties for the cupcakes!
A crown for the princess!
I also made cupcake toppers for some of the cupcakes. We had key lime with white chocolate buttercream cupcakes and chocolate with chocolate peppermint frosting dipped in chocolate ganache. Can you say HEAVEN!

Thanks to everyone who helped make the day special and so much fun!

Pretty pics especially the cupcake ones! It was such a pretty and sweet #1 for a sweet little girl. We're so thankful we were able to be there!
