Kaylin's Pony Party

A few weeks ago, Sutton's friend, Kaylin, had her "My Little Pony" birthday party with real live ponies. We were very excited to go. One of the first things they did was let the kids ride the ponies. Kaylin got to be first since she was the birthday girl. She chose to ride the small pony. She did awesome.

There was a larger pony, and they asked who wanted to ride the big pony. Sutton immediately said, "I do". I was quite surprised because he is usually pretty shy about new things. But he got right up on the pony and rode her around. I don't think he made a sound the entire time.

Then he accidently got to ride the same big pony a second time. Someone asked who was next, and the lady thought Sutton was next, so she picked him up and put him right back on! He was just fine riding again!

After eating cake and ice cream, they got to have their faces painted if they wanted! Once again, Sutton was first in line after the birthday girl! He got a spider, for Spiderman.

I think Sutton and Kaylin have a sweet relationship. They've been friends since they were 1! Kaylin recently told her Daddy, after a "strange" boy tried to hold her hand in a playscape, that Daddy and Sutton were the only boys allowed to hold her hand. Can you say that this Mommy's heart melted at that or what. Kaylin is one sweet girl!

The party ended with some balloon art. All the boys got swords and a there was a large battle. Luckily the only casualty was one balloon sword....Sutton was glad it was someone else's!!!
