Birthday Balloons and Cupcakes

Sutton woke up on his 3rd birthday to find a surprise on his door!

BALLOONS! He was so excited

There was a lot of jumping, squealing, laughing, hitting and other fun.
The fun lasted so long we missed our regular church service, and we had to go to a later service!

We had a rather low key family birthday celebration for Sutton on Sunday. After the balloon play, we went to church. Then Sutton picked McAlisters for lunch, (Of course he calls it the "pwace with applesauce and teddy gwams") and then home for a nap! We told him it would be cupcake time after his nap! When he woke up, the first thing he said was "eat cupcakes"!!!
There was no time to put our clothes back on after nap time. Sutton wanted cupcakes NOW!

Sophie was wondering what all this birthday stuff is all about!

Sutton isn't too fond of fire, even if it's a candle on a cupcake. He felt a little more safe sitting on Mommy's lap! Look at him blowing out the candle!

FINALLY, time to eat a cupcake he helped make!

Yummy!

The icing was the first thing to go!
