Sophie's Baptism

On Sunday, we baptized Sophie Elise. We promised, as her parents, to raise her up as a child of God. What an awesome responsibility, but one we are eager to undertake. She is such a precious gift to us, and we are so thankful for her EVERY SINGLE DAY!.

Sophie did such a wonderful job. She didn't make a peep the whole time Pastor Tommy Brummet held her and put the water on her head! (Maybe the swimming lessons paid off!!!) She was very interested in his glasses and mic, though!

Sophie waiting patiently for her part of the service!

Sutton did a great job too. He found two "Thomas the Train" cars in the diaper bag (that I was supposed to mail back to his cousins, James and Ethan, over a month ago.....SUPRISE!!) and played with them for a long time. Then I gave him my phone to play games....where I made sure the sound was off. BUT, I forgot that it will play the sound of videos anyway. Sutton loves to look at the pictures and videos on my phone. He especially loves the video of him and Evelynn playing/banging the piano (see previous post). Of course he decided to "watch" it during the scripture reading, while all is quiet!!! Chris and I both made a grab for it, silencing it...but Sutton was not happy.....and he had to be carried out!!! Thank goodness Pastor Tommy knows how to go with the flow!!!

I have more pictures of Sophie in her dress, these are just the ones from church. I will get them posted as soon as I can.
