While in Colorado, we made the drive up to the top of Pikes Peak. It had rained on us the day before, so they had SNOW on the top of Pikes Peak!!! It was REALLY cold, about 29 degrees! We had so so cold weather clothing....we were mostly in layers....lots of layers! The road wasn't as scary as I thought it would be either! Chris said it was much improved from the time they drove up it over 2o years ago!!!

Right when we got to the top, we pointed out the "train" that you can ride to the top of Pikes Peak. Sutton LOVES trains (to put it mildly) and he wanted to go see it.
Unfortunately it was leaving. Well, it was a HORRIBLE thing in his world. He was
SOOO upset the entire time we were up there. Telling him that the train went bye bye was just not enough. I think he cried most of the time we were up there. I'm not sure he appreciated the view!!!
Aunt Amy showed the views to Sophie...who seemed to enjoy them more than Sutton!
