In the middle of June we got to take a family vacation to the Colorado Springs area! We were lucky enough to get to go with Grandma, Grandpa and Aunt Amy! We left on Saturday morning, from Piedmont, for the two day trip to Colorado. We were a two car caravan!!! We stayed the night in
Raton, New Mexico, then had an
easyish drive to Colorado Springs on Sunday! The kiddos did a pretty good job except for the last hour to
Raton. The night in
Raton was defiantly not my favorite. Sutton woke up several times, which is very unusual for him! But we made it through with less sleep and looked forward to the mountain views to come!

Sutton enjoying all the new views. He really liked the windmill farms in west Oklahoma and the panhandle of Texas!

Sophie loved playing with her new toy, but like to use it as foot rest even more!

We finally made it to Colorado Springs and I found a Rudy's BBQ on
urbanspoon! It was my favorite
bbq in Austin. So we stopped to try it out (I've discovered all Rudy's are not created equal, so I was excited to see how Colorado does
bbq! I was
pleasantly surprised with YUMMY
bbq) My friend Lindsay (who always knows whats going on around McKinney) told me they now have one in Allen!
YIPEEE....but I've yet to try it out!

We finally made it to the house we rented in Woodland Park. (we rented it off of
VRBO) It was beautiful and had a BEAUTIFUL view of Pikes Peak from the living room window!

Our view for the week!

Sophie took a little nap in Grandpa's arms while Mommy and Daddy set up the pack n plays!

Kids
unpacked and napping, so now Mommy can sit down for a minute!

Sweet little Sophie!

Sutton loving some
Grandma time!
