Before, our Girl's Day started, I took this quick picture of the sunrise over Haleakala...then I went back to bed! I think Monday was, so far, one of my favorite days here in Maui! Although when I think about each day, I don't think I can pick a favorite. So maybe Monday was the most relaxing!!! We had the sweetest lady, Grandma Helen, come babysit Sutton for a few hours, while Kristen and I went to the beach. It was very different from our previous beach visit, because we just had to take care of ourselves! Around 9:30am we met one of Kristen's friends, Crystal at Wailea Beach to try out paddleboarding! I had never heard of paddleboarding, but saw some people doing it at the beach on Saturday. Basically, you get this really big board, a little like a surfboard, but much wider, and a paddle/oar! Once you get past the surf, you jump on (which is much easier than it looks like it would be) and kneel on the board to paddle farther out. Then you stand up on the board and paddle around! You can lay on the board and sunbath and it's really calm and relaxing! Of course you sometimes loose your balance and fall!! That happened to all three of us, but luckily besides a little bit of a sore arm on me, and Kristen's bump on her ankle, we made it safe and sound, back to shore. Unfortunately we didn't get any pictures because we didn't get a waterproof camera. We're going again, on Monday, so hopefully we'll get some pictures then!!!
On the beach in front of the Grand Wailea!
Big BeachThis is rated the most beautiful beach in Maui.
We drove down to this beach to see the big surf! You can't see any hotels or construction from this beach. It is the kind you would see on a postcard!!! AMAZING.
That is Molakini (a popular place to snorkel) in the background. Chris and I took a cruise over there and snorkeled on our honeymoon!

What a beautiful sunrise! You and Kristen look a lot alike, great model shots! Looks like you are having a bunch of fun! The beach looks wonderful!
