Sutton's Baptism

Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these."
Matthew 19:14

Stained glass windows from the church that are over 100 years old.
Sutton was baptised on Sunday morning. It was a very special service and we are so glad to show to the world that he is a child of God!

Chris and I also became members of the church at the same time. Sutton only cried a little bit, but I would imagine the water was pretty cold! It was very meaningful for us, and we are so grateful to Pastor Tommy and the entire church for making us feel welcome.

When we got to the church, Pastor Tommy came over to great us and Sutton let out a LOUD wail!. So when Pastor Tommy goes to take Sutton from Chris, that is why he takes a deep breath and kind of asks Sutton for permission to hold him...and the whole congregation laughs!!! He didn't cry then!

Aunt Amy recorded the whole baptism for us, so that we could share it with all our friends and family that couldn't be there. Thank you, Aunt Amy!

Enjoy!

  1. Congrats to Sutton! Things are happening sooooo fast! I cannot believe how big our kiddos are getting. I had a total mommy moment today remembering my labor and delivery. Seems like just yesterday they were telling me to push :)

  3. Congratulations Sutton!!! I am so happy for you. When I was baptized, my sister was there and she told me that when someone is baptized, the Angels sing and rejoice. I can just imagine the beautiful song they sang for you! On a side note, your mother looks smashing in that beautiful dress! :)
