Are you tired of seeing our little guy swimming yet? I realize this may be repetitive, so you won't hurt my feelings if you don't want to watch all of these videos!!! I took them at today's swimming lessons, so Daddy could see what all Sutton can do now. This is his 11
th lesson. Miss Cindy is really impressed with what he can do. She said that it really seems to come naturally for him. I told her to watch for him at the Olympics someday!!! Ha ha! (we're just glad he can do it!) In these videos, she's really putting him through the works and trying to make it hard for him. We want to make sure he really can get on his back and float!!! We are going to do one more week of
individual lessons, and then we will start a weekly group class...where I'll get in the water with him. (so far, I just watch and take video!) Then, if he needs a refresher course, we'll do some more individual lessons. When they are at this age, it's really important for lessons to be an ongoing process because they are growing so quickly that their center of gravity is constantly changing. So babies/toddlers keep having to make adjustments!!
I have to say, that it does make me a little nervous when she kind of flips him over and makes him go in head first. AND, I'm equally glad that I'm not the one in there doing that to him as he's learning. It makes me nervous just thinking about it!

I think someone had a little accident!!!

Lounging around eating some breakfast!
HMMM, I'm
GOOOD at this
Jumperoo!

This is FUN!

That is really cool! I can't believe how calm he is, even when she flips him over!!
ReplyDeleteWhoa, I cannot believe how she flips him over like that! Looks like he is a natural for sure....Sutton Phelps Tippett?! I like seeing him kick his little legs in the water; it looks like he is really on a mission! Thanks for the videos Sara!
ReplyDeleteI know it is sooooooo amazing what she is having Sutton do, and I know that he is really going to benefit from these lessons, but I cannot watch the videos without tearing up a bit and holding my breath. I am not sure I would be able to watch Emma doing it. I am guessing that those first couple of lessons were hard to watch! I look forward to seeing how things progress over the next couple of months!!!
