Sutton had his first appointment with his pediatrician, Dr. Gadja, on Tuesday afternoon. It went really well. When he had left the hospital, his weight had gone down from 7lbs 4 oz. to 6 lbs. 13 oz. At the dr. office, he was back up to 7 lbs. So that was great...he was gaining weight. She said he still looked very yellow, so they took some blood to check his bili levels, and would call on Wednesday with the results. She felt like he would be ok because he was eating so well and gaining weight. She also told us that, that day, was typically the day where bili levels were the highest. Everything else was great. He was very mad, though, after being stripped down to his diaper and getting his heel stuck, AND changing his diaper (he doesn't like getting his diaper changed!)
When the doctors office called this morning, they said his bili levels were 16 (he was a 7.9 at the hospital) and that we needed to take him to back to TMC (the hospital) to have them do the lab work again. So we made our second outing in two days!!! He had to have his heal stuck again, but he was SO good. He sucked on my finger the whole time, and just let out a couple of cries. Everyone said what a good baby he was being!!! The sent the results to Dr. Gadja, and we got a call from Nurse Mandi saying that his bili levels were down to 12.9, TO GO HOME, and keep doing what we were doing.
We were so grateful to be able to come home. Sutton is still doing great...and crying to eat right now....so I'll finish this post!
Thank you for all your prayers!

Awww, so glad he is doing good and that he won't have to get any more needle pricks for a while!!! That is great news that his levels are settling down and he is growing like a weed!
