We also went to our first birthing class last week, and will go to one more. It was pretty interesting, and we haven't been scared out of our minds, yet! We'll see what happens next week!!! We did get to take a tour of the nursery, and there was a brand new baby just getting cleaned up. That really makes it seem real. We couldn't believe, especially Chris, how tiny the little baby was. We can't wait to see what Sutton looks like!
Here is what Baby Center.com says about Sutton this week...
This week your baby weighs a little over 4 pounds (heft a pineapple) and has passed the 17-inch mark. He's rapidly losing that wrinkled, alien look and his skeleton is hardening. The bones in his skull aren't fused together, which allows them to move and slightly overlap, thus making it easier for him to fit through the birth canal. (The pressure on the head during birth is so intense that many babies are born with a conehead-like appearance.) These bones don't entirely fuse until early adulthood, so they can grow as his brain and other tissue expands during infancy and childhood.
I got to go to Las Vegas with my friend Sherry, last week. She took a couple of pictures of me at THE Hotel inside The Mandalay Bay, where we got to stay. We were there doing things for The Heart Link Network. We had a a good time!!!
