We actually put up our tree before we left for Thanksgiving in Oklahoma, but we did the finishing touches on today. Sophie and Sutton were a big help, shaping some of the branches and handing them to us while we put the tree together. We have garland that has zillions of tiny bells, so when the kiddos are messing with the tree we can hear the jingling! They seem to touch it a lot more than they ever did as tiny kids! We understand, we love looking at the ornaments just as much!
I also found an idea, on Pinterest of course, for making the tree an advent calendar! I printed out the red cards with 1-25 on them, laminated and cut them out. Then Sutton and Sophie helped me put them on the tree. Each night we are taking one tag off until we get to Christmas......but we already forgot to take one off tonight! Oops!!
