We had one more birthday celebration for Sutton with a few of his friends! Sutton's friend, Kaylin, had her birthday party at this park, on a Friday....and it was AWESOME! I think Kaylin's Mommy was BRILLIANT with this idea...so I copied it! We met at the park on a Friday morning (almost had the park all to ourselves), I picked up some chicken nuggets and fruit from Chick fil A, on the way there, Daddy grabbed some juice on his way....and we had a party! The only thing that would have made it more perfect, was if Cara had been in town and been able to make Super Hero cupcakes. Since she wasn't, Target cupcakes had to do. (For the record, Cara, a lot of the icing was eaten, but the cupcake part left behind! When we have Cara's, it ALL gets eaten!)

All these little kiddos spend a lot of time with Sutton, between neighbors, church and school! Sutton has played with some of them since he was one! They LOVE each other!

He got lots of other great gifts! We decided they all really know each other very well. All the parents said that the kids picked the gifts out, and they picked perfectly. Sutton has had so much fun playing with all the gifts! He is blessed to have such good friends!
Last, it was time to had out party favors. This year, I decided to spend more time, effort and $$ towards our "thank you" party favors for Sutton's friends. I made super hero capes and masks for each kiddo! It was SO worth the time and effort. The excitement and joy on these kids faces as they ran around playing just made it more than worth it!

So Jamie and I had a vision on getting a picture with all of them wearing their capes, but they were running so wild we weren't sure it was going to happen! First she managed to get this one!
Then right before we were all going home, and they were all worn out and we, pretty easily, got them to sit and take this picture.
I just with Beau and Brandt hadn't already left, and Hailey had felt like being a super hero that day! But you know, some days, a girl just wants to be a girl!!!

I could have sworn you told me you were having a hard time getting into the b-day thing for Sutton this year. Looks quite the opposite to me. Wow this looked like sooo much fun. I think I am going to crash your next friend only party. That's where I belong anyway! You did superb. I think you get the reward for being the SUPER HERO MOM!! ( You know they would have loved it even without the capes and masks) That's one of the things that makes you special-love you, daughter-in-law.
