I had the best birthday,
wayyyy back in April! I decided it might be nice to take the kiddos to the Ft Worth Zoo while the weather was still pretty cool, here in North Texas!!! Then Chris decided to take the day off from work, so we spent my actual birthday at the zoo! We had so much fun, and on sweat a little bit!!! It was a perfect birthday, that ended driving back "through" Sherman to pick up cupcakes my SWEET friend Cara made for me, (she couldn't have given me anything more perfect....my new favorite flavor...chocolate with
swiss buttercream frosting drizzled with salted caramel!) flowers delivered from two of my
bestest friends, and a simple pizza dinner at our local pizza place. We were exhausted after the very full day. Enjoy the MANY MANY pictures!!
Playing Crocodile Hunter!!

Drink Break!

Sutton was so excited to look at all the animals!

This eagle was giving Chris the evil eye, as he took his picture!

Alligators!!!

This penguin was checking Sutton out!!

I think this was the hit of the day. Sutton wanted to watch the sharks for a LONG time!

Sophie hanging out in the shark exhibit!

This was also one of my favorite parts of the day....we were trying to figure out where to go, and Sutton asked for the map. With a guide like that, how can anything go wrong!

Time for lunch. While Daddy stood in line for the "yummy" Burger King lunch, we snacked on some of the
strawberries Sutton and I had picked and grapes!

The lion looked really relaxed out on the ledge!

We got to watch the elephant dust himself!

Sutton's not going to wait on Mommy and Sophie before he looks at the giraffe!

Sophie loved the elephants, she got all excited and started jabbering up a storm.

Sophie also loved the
meerkats! She started crying when we left!!!
Sutton's favorite thing at the zoo...the train. Chris and I thought it was a little lacking!!!

Time for cupcakes....oh my mouth is watering, remembering how good they were!

I had a sparkler candle on my cupcake!

The look on this kings face sums up the entire day for me!
PERFECT!
That looks like a lot of fun for even the grown-ups. It is so easy to put a smile on the little king's face. I love to see it. Little missy is just beginning to take it all in. Glad you were able to spend your b=day in such a fun way.
