On Friday, Sutton and I got to have a Mommy/Son date, with our second annual strawberry picking adventure! Sutton loved picking strawberries last year, and every time we would go get milk at the Farm and Dairy, he would ask if we were going to pick strawberries. When I told him we were finally going, he was SO excited. All morning long, he kept saying that "Mommy and Sutton were going on their BIG trip".
The weather was a little chilly, but great picking weather.
Sutton was a big help. He picked the strawberries just like Carol showed us, and he only picked a few very under ripe ones! He got tired of picking pretty quickly, and we worked out a good team plan. I would pick and Sutton would carry them to the basket!
We had a great time and picked around 15 pounds of strawberries in a hour. I didn't want to stop. There were just beautiful, red and ripe berries everywhere. We've been enjoying strawberries all week-end long!
