Picnic at Our Pond

A couple of weeks ago we decided to take advantage of the beautiful weather and the fact that we were actually home all day (no school, errands or swimming lessons that have been ruling our days!!) We had a picnic at our pond, and we invited our friends Beau and Brandt....and their Mama!!!

Sophie is getting better with walking on the uneven ground! She was excited to be outside!

Sutton decided to get a closer look at a fire ant mound. He was actually farther away from it than the pictures shows, and I thought he would be just fine! BUT....it wasn't far enough. Those little stinkers got his feet.

Thankfully it didn't end our picnic. We just had to make a quick trip in to put some of Mommy's special salve on it. It works miracles on fire ant bites!

Sweet Little Sophie!

Sweet...Getting So Big.....Sutton

Sutton is probably telling Sophie to stay away from the fire ants!

Hmmm, probably talking or singing

Sibling Love!

Everyone enjoyed our yummy food!

The boys ditched the food and were pulled right toward the water!
Too many fun things to do!

Brandt is such a cutie!

Maybe they are discussing the best places to "wet a line"!

Brothers!

The three boys were "fishing" with sticks. They would play with them in the water for a while then throw them in. Then they would be off to find a new stick!
Beau found the BIGGEST one! (I think it was actually a small tree!)
Look at everyone helping to pick up that BIG stick!

All that fishing required a candy break!

When the little guys had enough fishing, they moved on to the swings!

....and to the teeter totter (is that how you spell that?).

One of my favorite pictures. I just love Brandt's boots!!!
They go perfect with his outfit!

Beau swinging.

Swinging in the breeze!

While the boys did all their fishing and swinging, Sophie hung out with Josie and me!
It was a fun picnic and all the kiddos took long naps that afternoon.

After I put Sutton and Sophie down for their nap, I looked outside and saw these geese on the pond. I guess they were waiting for the peace and quiet to return!

I walked quietly all the way out to the pond and got some great pictures. They finally saw me, and one started to fly away.

The other one started honking on the one flying away...

....and it landed again! I couldn't believe I got the pictures of it!
After swimming together again, they started honking in my direction, so I went back to the house and left them alone!

  2. I like Sophie's dress. Is it a Sara Elizabeth design? Your aregetting some.great pictures these days. Sutton really does remind me of pictures of his daddy in the pic of himself and the one hugging his sister.
