Ok, this post is going to have a little bragging in it!!! I just, this evening, completed one of the most difficult sewing projects I've ever done. There was quite a bit of trial and error, a lot of ripping out, a lot of re-threading my sewing machine, a lot of re-threading my
serger, and A LOT of almost throwing my sewing machine and/or
serger against a wall!!! BUT....here is the end result.....

A new car seat cover for Little Miss Sophie. This is Sutton's car seat, I just made it a little more girlie!!! Now I know why the car seat covers cost so much, I'm not sure I'll ever do one again! This is a little different than a lot of them you can buy, I actually ripped apart the ENTIRE base and canopy cover, ripped all the pieces apart...made pattern pieces from the ripped pieces, cut out the fabric and sewed it on the the original pieces......THEN sewed it all back together!!! The end result...I'm
soooo proud of myself, and I think it looks
awesome!

Wow, Sara! You did an excellent job! I bet Sophie will LOVE it and appreciate all of your hard work (blood, sweat, and tears, it sounds like!). You have a one of a kind car seat cover that really stands out! It looks great....can you re-do Columbia's? :) Great work! I am so impressed and inspired by your creative, artistic talent!! Thank you for posting pics!
