Little Swimmer

Sutton took infant survival swimming lessons, again, this summer. This year he is trying to grasp how to actually swim to the edge of the pool, and roll over and float if he gets tired. He's good at both independently, but is a little too young to do them together. So he mastered all the skills, now we will just keep working with him.

In addition, the morning after he "graduated", I saw a story on the Today Show. The American Assoc. of Pediatrics now recommends these types of survival lessons for toddlers. The video they showed, was of kids doing the exact same things Sutton can do. Although they chose nice calm kids that weren't crying. Sutton wouldn't make the cut, in that department!!!

Grandmas got to see a couple of lessons. She said she'll come visit again IF it doesn't involve swimming lessons. His crying really tugged at her Grandma heartstrings!

Our teacher, Danielle, has an underwater camera. We got a couple of pictures of Sutton swimming towards me! Look at those expressions!!!
I especially like the one with the bubble coming out of his nose!!!

BEWARE, if you don't like to watching crying babies...don't watch this video. (Mind you he would stop crying as soon as the lesson was over....not even a few follow up sniffles....just stop!) This video is from his "graduation test"
