Last Thursday, Chris' Aunt Sandy passed away suddenly. We were all so sad to hear this horrible news. She was a great lady that welcomed me into the family immediately. She always made us feel so welcome and at ease. We will miss her so much. We would get together for holidays and some trips to the lake. It won't be the same. BUT, we are so glad that she is heaven with the Lord. She was a strong Christian believer. I know it gives us peace that she is with Jesus. We also pray that he brings peace to her husband, Andy and two sons, Jeffery and Dylan.
Sutton only got to meet Aunt Sandy a couple of times. This is a picture of her holding him for the first time. She had a way with kids, and she proved it with Sutton. He was so totally relaxed and calm in her lap.
What a nice post, Sara! Greg and I have often commented on how great she is and how she always made me feel at home, even though I didn't get to see her often. Thank you for sharing your feelings here, so nice.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear about Chris' aunt. I know it must be really hard for the whole family right now. I need to hear lots of updates on things with you guys! And I need to email you back about a date for the first week in June. Hope you're still free one day that week so we can get together.
